I built a three-wheeled bike a long time ago and still have the plans to the Low Rider and want to build it. I noticed today the square stock I used was thicker that I thought. About 1 and 3/4 inches wide. Question is, can you use a 1 and 1/2 tube with wall thickness of 1/16? I am thinking the thickness on mine is 1/8. These measurments are by my ruler and I do not really have a working knowledge of the sizes steel stock goes by Now the box stores offer a mild steel but just slightly smaller. I guess one could run another piece of flat stock on the bottom where the stress might be. Ok I have confused myself and everybody else so will be looking for some answeres here. Thanks gphil.
