Possibly of interest - I'd like to go with a mid-drive using a disk brake hub with a sprocket connected to the disk rotor side via an adapter plate. In the first picture you can see the rear cluster on the left side of the axle support tube to accommodate the mid-drive. I'd though that I might be able to flip it so that the small sprocket would be to the left, but thinking about the swing of standard rear deraillers, I'm now thinking that it will have to be as seen in the pic.
