    We have 140watts of solar panels in southern England with good results 9 months of the year charging 160Ah of batteries.
    (Runs our off grid lighting / Emergency power and lights 600w of inverter...

    Todays test ride was cut short to only 6 miles due to the skies starting to throw rain down upon us and the return 3 miles was a case of who can get bacl home without getting drown .

    The seat upgrade together with the 203mm front disc conversions on both trikes are finished .
    Both trikes have had new brake and gear cables together with big rotors and new calipers ...

    I would completely agree with John on the subject of front brakes on a tadpole trike , A single rear brake on a tadpole is a total disaster waiting to happen. All the braking on the trike is achieved...

    Single sided wheels are fine with 12mm HT steel bolts , 14mm bmx axles , we also use 20mm with 14mm top hat reducers without problems double sided mounts look awful.

    pedal trikes generally have 2 angles lean back and lean in , this gives the appearance of leaning in/out on turns .

    We did make the mounting arms from 3mm bar

    Currently both trikes have had the left hand caliper and disc upgrade completed leaving only the RHS to assemble and adjust.

    Hi Bill

    I used Pit bike brake caliper because they were handed - since then we have converted to standard brakes and I were to make another I would use a similar method to the warrior plan .

    The arrow points in the direction of rotation , generally the disc with the arrow goes with the arrow pointing forward at the top making the l/h arrow sit against the hub .

    My e-trike next for the seat modification

    Yes that is 22 5 & 6mm Tee nuts , still lighter than the original metal brackets behind the seat
