  1. Re: Thinking of selling my Electric Streetfox Velomobile

Here's what I've built since the Street Fox. One for land, one for sea!

    https://byyb.org/forums/showthread.php?tid=3247

It's also for sale by the way.
  2. Re: Thinking of selling my Electric Streetfox Velomobile

I'm Baa-aack. Resurrecting this old thread. Streetfox is still available and hasn't been ridden since battery incident. Kept dry in shed. Other projects, work and life in general keeping me from...
  3. Re: WANTED - Source for 20 MM Axle, Disc Brake Capable 20 in 36 or more spoke wheels

Bitex has good 20mm axles for a good price. I got them for my street fox. I also bought hydraulic brakes and rims from them at good prices. Shipping cost can be an issue though, since it's a...

    Re: Hello From Spokane WA

I modified my Street Fox with under seat steering similar to the warrior trike, not the tiller steering as in the street fox plans. Very ergonomic and comfortable hand position.

    Re: Hello From Spokane WA

    Welcome to the forum.
If you're interested in a trike but don't have the build space, my electric-assist Street Fox is still for sale. Needs some repair though: one of the two battery packs had a...

    Re: 24" Wheels for Warrior?

DaddyO, what is the hub size of the TerraTrike wheels? Are they 20MM? If they're a smaller diameter then I'd still recommend going with Bitex 20MM hubs for the added axle strength.

    Re: 24" Wheels for Warrior?

The cost of the hubs, as I recall, was very reasonable. But they have to ship from Taiwan so there's shipping cost to consider. Complete wheels will cost more to ship, so I'd say look into the cost...

    Re: 24" Wheels for Warrior?

I recommend splurging on a set of Bitex 20mm hubs and 20" rims of your choice and having a bike shop build the wheels for you, or simply buy complete wheels from Bitex (they would use JetSet brand...

    Re: Cold Weld/Jb Weld/Epoxy weld

I'm surprised no one has mentioned carbon fiber composites or fiberglass.

Here's an example. I don't think it requires any welding but I'm not sure about that:

Re: Replacing an suv with a trike

Well, if the idea appeals to you, then in 2015 for about $6800 you'll be able to buy one of these:

Re: Replacing an suv with a trike

If you're interested you can get build plans from the inventor (Doug Malewicki) for something like 40 bucks. Adaptable to suit.

Re: Replacing an suv with a trike

A few years ago I built a street fox with a hub motor and pair of NiCad batteries for my ~45 mile round trip commute. I designed the build for a 30+ mph cruise speed on the hub motor alone, on the...

    Re: Okie Warrior Build

When I built my Street Fox I used these hubs:

I've found these to be good quality and economical too. I also...

    Re: Flying Bicycle invented !

I wonder if it would be practical to mount a small gasoline engine to charge a smaller battery pack while in flight, thus extending it's range? You'd have to do it this way rather than direct drive...

Re: Ensuring donor bikes are not stolen?

Maybe try finding the serial number on the bike (either engraved on the bottom bracket or on a sticker on the frame) and calling the police department to see if it's reported stolen or missing.

  19. Re: Howdy all, long time listener, first time caller. Need some advice on brakes

    Sberbit,

My first build was Marauder too, but version 1, no rear suspension. Here's how I installed dual brakes on mine, after using both the front forks and rear stays from donor bikes to create...

    Socialtalker,
My computer detected a virus and blocked both your links. Do you know why? Do you perhaps have clean links to the same information?
  21. Re: A Maineiac & The Bent Zombie Tribrid Tadpole Trike

I really like how you did the front suspension. Does it roll much without a stabilizer bar?
