Re: the newsletter on delta trike body

Did Brad ever finish the velo body? The tutorial stops at two side panels. It would be interesting to see if idea for hinged too worked.

Re: Help me decide- DeltaRunner or TimberWolf

What would the effect on suspension be if I mounted the cargo box directly to the rear frame instead of supported it off the seat? Would it make the suspension shock be useless? I don't care if cargo...

Re: Is this usable? Really bent rear triangle

Thanks for the info about 24" vs 20" and the frame.

The SE Iowa craigslist is almost useless because it covers too much area. Ames is 3 hours away for instance. I watch it and I will keep...

Is this usable? Really bent rear triangle

I went by the LBS to see if they had any used 20" BMX bikes for sale. They gave me this 24" BMX frame for free!...

    Re: River's Aurora

    Hi River,

How much weight do you think you've carried on the aurora luggage rack? I got the timberwolf plan but not sure I like or need the suspended cargo box.

    Re: Looking for mechanical engineer

Also if you find an engineer what are you willing to pay? As a basic CAD copy drafter, I billed out at ~$23/hr. I won't tell you what my rate is now.

    Re: ZombieRover

@dmac257 he can get in and out of a chair as low as 12" IF he has something to pull against. That is why I'm planning on direct steer (DKS?) with locking front brakes.

    @Emma The e-trike...

    Re: ZombieRover

Emma's e-trikes are big part of why he has his heart set on a tadpole. :)

I'm trying to figure out what the track will end up being for his trike. What is the sharpest angle you usually have the...

    Re: ZombieRover

I admit it... I have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. I barely passed the design classes though. I work as a reliability engineer with most work on pumping systems. Pumping system not working,...

    Re: ZombieRover

So frame size... some suggestions were: 1.5" 14 gauge, 2" 16 gauge, 1"x2" 16 gauge.

I got out my static books and cranked out the following numbers based on ASTM A500 grade steel. I used...

    Re: ZombieRover

Thanks for info about the hubs. It will probably be fall before we get to buying stage but I will keep Burrito in mind.

I have the TimberWolf plan for myself. He has heart set on a tadpole style....

    ZombieRover

My DH, RockApe, test rode the TerraTrike Rover and loved it except the price tag. It is basically a non-suspension StreetFox. Soo here comes the Zombie Rover.

RockApe is 6'3" and just shy of 400...

Re: Trike design for larger riders

Not wanting to hijack... so split if better etiquette. My husband is 6'3" and 410lbs so also up there in weight. Is there a reason to avoid a tadpole with this weight class? My husband is 24-26"...

Re: Idler Pulley: Steel or Plastic? Flat or V?

Newbie here... Is there a reason you can't use one of the small wheels from a shimano derailler? It looked easy enough to mount end idler on frame.

    Re: Good donor rims?

That helps a lot! I will be cycling 100% on concrete and bike paths so it sounds like these will work to start out atleast.

    Good donor rims?

The Timberwolf plans talk about getting a decent double wall rim set to build up your wheels.

I have 2 donors with 26" tires, a Schwinn Riverside with 36 hole rims...

Re: Help me decide- DeltaRunner or TimberWolf

Good point. Drivers are used to seeing the pull behind kid trailers and mine is fire engine red with reflectors. I think I will stick to that for pulling DS and dog. I will need to make a new hitch...

  20. Used Millermatic 150 Welder- What to inspect/replace before using?

A friend of ours gave us his (dead) father's old Millermatic 150 welder. He doesn't know if it works or not. The label gives input requirements as 230V, 60Hz, 20amps, 1phase. It came with 3 bottles...

Help me decide- DeltaRunner or TimberWolf

    Saying Hello- Again

    Hello everyone,

I'm starting up research again for trikes for my DH and I. We need to go custom on DH's at least because of his size (6'3", 23" shoulders, 400#). I have intermittent balance issues...
