  3. Spin-Cycle availabe in Central Alberta - free

Anyone near central AB interested in a basically finished Spin-cycle?
I never did build a fender, so someone would want to do that.

It's available to any Zombie who is near enough to make a...

Re: Kickbike / scooter started and finished.

It was recycled from and old chair frame. Close to 1" square I'd estimate.

It was pre-bent because I cut it from a discarded exercise machine.

That's cool to know, I've toyed with the...

Re: Kickbike / scooter started and finished.

The piece that curves upward to the head has a piece of square tubing welded to either side that go horizontal for the deck to bolt to.
I simply sandwiched the stearing tube of the rear wheel fork...

Re: Right hand pilot ? Gotta ask

Thanks folks. Yes I was meaning pilot seat. I know Brad is in Canada, so I wondered about why it was piloted from the right.

I re-read my question, and can now see how it was ambiguous.

Right hand pilot ? Gotta ask

Alright, it's starting to bug me. I read somewhere that the plans explain why the right hand drive.
I am curious, but don't own the plans yet.

Would it be outrageous to ask for the reasons here ?

Re: Riding the FrontRunner - a question.

That also helps me decide if this bike is good for a friend of mine. He does not like the marauder so... I think a HighRoller maybe for him.

Re: How do you keep dry?

I bet a lot of water running down your neck comes from your helmet. I use a helmet rain cover like the one in the link.
The neck protector sends all the water over my jacket collar, and down my...

Re: Riding the FrontRunner - a question.

OK cool, I've managed to ride the spincycle (modified) with success, so this should be fine too (with some practice)

Riding the FrontRunner - a question.

    Hi all.

I have built a Spin Cycle, and modified the rear of it to have a single wheel, so it looks a bit like a single speed Front Runner.

When I ride it, I have to pull hard on the handle bar...

    Re: No-Fray Cable Cutting

I usually solder the cable just where I want to cut it (not too much because it becomes unflexible there), and then cut the soldered section with a dremel and cutoff wheel. I also solder where it is...

    Re: licence plates

I've still got my Yukon motorcycle plate from when I lived up there. That might look cool on a pedal powered device.
I have two full size auto plates too.
I had some like the 85-90 plates, but I...

  16. Re: Idea for electric power with pedal generator--feedback requested.

This may seem like a silly question, but hub motors on the wheels...they generate on the way down hills too right? So they would act as brake/recharging when slowing the vehicle? You can recover some...

Re: New Zombie from SW Missouri (Springfield)

Welcome Amos - I can't say if there is a rule for being called a zombie or not. I think it's more a spiritual thing, you are a zombie if you feel like a zombie.
