Recumbent Trike in Tour De France

Okay, the title is a little misleading. Listen to the announcers they have no clue.. "very difficult yo ride", "Could only go in circles".

    Re: Pics-

Nice job. Did you install those wheels backwards just to see if anyone would catch it ?
  5. Re: Did anyone here ever just install front brakes and no rear brake on the Warrior?

I only have front brakes on both my Warriors. Never even considered a back brake.

    creaking sound in the front

My Warrior has about 500 KMs on it and has a curios creaking sound that is most noticeable when peddling hard. I've tried tightening up the bolts securing the bottom bracket, and this works for...

    Re: spoke length doesn't matter!

I get in now. Just make a custom hub wide enough to take up the extra slack in the spoke.

Got ant pics of the finished wheel ?
  10. Re: Possible way to list all the Zombies out there?

I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest in this. I'd add my location.

    Re: Warrior parts

I used plastic tubing with a 5/8 internal diameter and .8 inch external diameter. With just a little bit of sanding on the outside I was able to get the hub to slide on smoothly.

    Re: Warrior parts

Try Fastenal for the axles. 5 1/2 inch works best with the bitex hubs.

Re: Warrior Build has begun !

They're extremely comfortable. My wife calls them our Lazy-boy bikes. The second bike (purple) is better built as the 1st one was sort of experimental. They sure get a lot comments when we're out...

    Re: Estimate of cost.

I'm building my warrior for about $300. The biggest cost was the front wheels at $110 each. Steel was about $25. The rest I scrounged.

Re: Warrior Build has begun !

Time for an update. I'm still waiting on my rims, so I thought I would go ahead and make the seat. I completely ripped of an idea from John Lewis (and probably others) for making molded seats. I...
