I just finished welding up my axles. After getting this done, a friend (another Special Olympics coach) gave me some new 48 spoke wheels for my project. After looking at the new wheels, I noticed that the hubs on the nice new wheels are 1/4" smaller than the hubs I purchased from AZ. Since I am new at this, is there enough threads on the spokes to make up for this?
Do I need to get new spokes? Can I get a die to add more threads to my current spokes? What thread is on spokes?

Thanks in advance for the help
Curt

The treads are rolled not cut you need a bike shop to do that. They probably will be to long you can maske sure buy figuring it out on a spoke calculator. just google it

You will be fine, just use your spoke calculator to figure out the required distance between the flanges to use what you have. The distance will be slightly wider the flanges on the existing hubs.

Yep he's right as long as you haven't welded your flanges on yet
