View Full Version : TomaHawk Specific Chain Managment Question

Been looking at/drooling over the TomaHawk plans for several months, but I keep getting hung up on the chain management choices apparent from the galleries and videos I have seen. I just keep thinking that rather than than 2 idlers in both directions, both very heavily deflected, it looks like it ought to be possible to go with a single idler, with very light deflection, from just under the seat, simply by moving the boom more parallel with the ground, as in the Optima Baron configuration. Use of a single low deflection idler HAS to be more efficient, right? I'd like to try and get this resolved before I commit to a build. Anyone tried this with the TomaHawk?
