Hi all

Can someone give me some rough dimensions for a banana seat ?
Length ? Width ? do they widen at the rear ?

They are very hard to find and expensive in the UK and tend towards child sizes , I want to make an adult sized one with maybe the ability to carry 2 people ? that should test the frame !

My daughter just bought an old chopper with a banana seat.
It is 2" wide in the front, the widest part of the seat is 5" and where it kicks up at the back is 4" wide.
The total length is about 18" and the kickup of the seat starts at about 11" from the front.

Thanks very much.

Quick question ? how comfortable is it ?

Best I seem to be able to get out of a normal bike seat is 5-6 miles !

I haven't ridden the bike for very long but it's fairly comfortable to sit on.
There is a couple of pics of some seats my neighbour got for me from a garage sale that are real comfortable. I cut one down a bit for my Overkill chopper. The pics of the seat are in my build thread . I will post some more pics and the dimensions of this here later on this evening when I have the time.

The big seat I have is 18" long, 4" wide at the front, 12" wide at the kickup and 7" wide at the rear. The kickup starts 14" back from the front of the seat.
