I found a handy little program that is great for making perfect miter joints when using steel tube. Gives you the paper cut out that you simply print out and draw onto the steel tube. Might be of use to others

Thank you Lock there are several of those programs floating around the site but having it here in the welding area wil help others find it easy.

Yeah, I use that one all the time, but didn't think to post it here,
in case anyone didn't already know about it.

The key words here, are "didn't think"! :rolleyes4:

Hi all...

That is grat for those metric people but for us on the Inches...

The one I found through this forum is an online one...

I would like to get a stand alone one for Windows and not DOS... as the DOS is not able to print to the new USB Printers...

Does anyone have a link for a Downloadable Windows Tube programs that will do Inches??

Thanks in advance...

That is grat for those metric people but for us on the Inches... Hey Moe, I'm one of those people still resisting the changeover!
I HATE metric, but I love that little tubemiter program, in spite of it!
I just convert everything to good ol' inches when I use it!

I suspect that I'm not the only OLD dude who doesn't wanna learn or think
in terms of a new system of measurement, even if it is superior. :wheelchair:

Yep... I am in that age bracket too... but that is not my problem SJ...

It is all the pipes that I purchase are labeled in Inches and that is more easier than to always racke your brains to the conversion thing and besides it is not to the exact ... there is always some that is lost in the infinity loop!

We were doing good before! ARGH!
