They're gonna be my seat strut mounts. I'm building a "sports car" version of the KC, much shorter than the original. The back of my seat will actually be about even with the back of the frame.

I've actually built the frame as short as I can possibly get by with. I'll be seated at the extreme rear, with my pedals nearly touching the inside front of the frame.


So how long is the main part (excluding the front wheel form and downtube) of your frame? I'm guessing about 56".

I cut my boom tubes 54", so after welding them to the rear cross tube, the total frame length is 55 1/2".
I kept all other frame dimensions per the plans, & you can kinda/sorta tell from this pic, it's not much longer than it is wide!

For the record, my X-seam is 44".

Now, how about trying to guess a little more accurately next time, eh?
