so plans were made many moons ago to build a spincycle. i assembled the stuff, i got the book....

yesterday(saturday) we decided to do it. we headed out and got a nice new chain last night. today,(sunday) at the crack of 11ish, i rolled out of bed and we started working on it.

and we had it completed around 6, enough time to take it out for a spin (literally).

of course its not DONE... but it was rideable, for sure. need a fender, need a slick tire, and grind down and pretty up the welds and paint....

that thing is a blast to ride. we couldnt quite get the hang of multiple 360's, im gonna watch the video next for some pointers. it tipped the occupant on some high speed runs, but we sure had a blast spinning around. oh- and smooth pavement is a must for this thing. itll shake your teeth out!

anyway, loads of fun, super easy to build, doesnt need much in the way of parts. we used 1 inch EMT for everything except the rear T, used the normal 1.5 square for that.

thoughts- would a bmw freewheel make it more or less better? what about a welded hub- like a unicycle? that seems neat, you could pedal backwards....

pics soon!

You built it in 1 day?!!! That's amazing, Sparky!

I think it took me over 60 hours!

Maybe my geezeritis was acting up...
