Anyone have knowledge as to best electric motor/battery setup for heavy trike like the Kyoto Cruiser?
I'm assuming that front wheel hub motor best choice. Want to make sure the wheel can handle heavy Kyoto Cruiser. Willing to spend enough to get best choice.

Thoughts?

Check local regulations before making your choice

"Rules? Where we're going, we don't need rules."---Dr. Emmit Brown

actually here's another question.

Kyoto Cruiser needs 48 spokes for the front wheel so the wheel can take the strain of the heavy trike. I have one, however, I'm going to use a front wheel hub motor sometimes. I'm about to order the motor setup, but can only find a 20" hub motor wheel with 36 spokes like this: http://www.leafbike.com/products/diy-bike-conversion-kit/20-inch-electric-hub-motor-kit/updated-20-inch-48v-1500w-rear-hub-motor-bike-conversion-kit-986.html

or one with an alloy cast wheel like this: http://www.leafbike.com/products/diy-bike-conversion-kit/20-inch-electric-hub-motor-kit/20-inch-48v-1000w-electric-bike-kit-front-casted-hub-wheel-1009.html

Does anyone have any experience to know which would be the most durable wheel for a heavy trike like the K Cruiser?
